Ok i know I have said this before but i am really back. Now that we have wifi at home, the plan is to make updates more.
So at the moment, life is good. i have been working really hard to lose weight, so far this year i've lost about 14 kgs. I have been eating right and going to the gym. Of course I'm very proud of myself and i have the support of friends and family. With saying that there are some haters out there, Its all strange how people can't be happy for others.
So this weekend, today i plan to do not much at all and just enjoy the weekend. tomorrow is going to be sunny, so its off to the beach! I'm trying to do so much that doesnt invlove sitting around drinking.... who would of thought....
I'm still waiting to see whats the go with my little brother wedding in China. It might be cancel as he might be going to the middle east as part of the army.
I really hope that he doesn't go and china is still on. All my other family are going well, i spent a great long weekend at my sister place in canberra.

I'm back

Well it's been so long...five year since my last post. So much has change. I'm now living in Melbourne, I have been travelling oversea each year meeting the most wonderful people. I also lived in NT for a year, I do believe that was a turning point in my life. When i return I couldn't get my head around that it felt like time had stop, nothing had change. People were still doing the same thing and hadn't grown within them selfs. At this stage I relaize that there something bigger and better I need to do with my life. During this year I did lose some friends as they couldn't understand the need for change...and surprise they're still doing the same thing...Along the way some other friendship grow stonger. I very luckily to have such a great group of friend who understand me and wont judge me. Anyway....
I'm still working for the gov and its going ok, but i do hate what i'm working on at the moment but it wont be forever...
This week i'm off to sydney to see wicked and to have dinner with some of my wonderful sydney friends at the bank....they have the best duck salad EVER!!!!

So i decided to go to the Mall and i went a bit crazy on home wares and the art work. So today I'm on a mission on how to get it home, I'm either going to send it by ship or plane. I can't believe it been two weeks and i have to come home. Today i'm on a mission to buy DVD's.

I want to stay here...

Well I can't remember what day it was, but i started heading up north. I book a bus tickets thinking it can't be that bad.......We left at about 8pm at night and arrived at 7am. On all buses white people have to sit up the back of the bus. I got stuck with a bunch of boys...The first half hour i could of kill them, (they were drinking) but i decided to join in the fun. I also got to have some Val. They had bought some in Thai Land and they weren't like my Val. It was like we were a bunch of school kids. But i think it was about 3 when i pass out. Once arriving in Nha Trang, i jump on the back of a scooter with backpack and all. And found a great hotel. One street back from the beach. I was only planing to stay two nights. Once i had a shower and felt alive again i went out and about to check out the place. I meet a chick in the hotel from the States and we decided to hang out. We took a cable car (the longest one across the sea) to Vinpearl Land. I had no idea it was a amusement park. The plus side you can drink everywhere...I went on all the fun rides. eg Evolution - aerial rotation in 03 directions. 4d movies, crazy bull. compact coaster. ect....But i also found the best club EVER, its call exotica. it is the perfect combination between unlimited frenzies and undiscovered sea nature located in the mountain of the island. Exoctica has the unique and impressive decoration (so much better than Family or Met or even moon bar) the most advanced audio and lighting i ever seen. it one of those thing you have to see. After lots of long Ice tea back on the cable car to the main island. Later that night I hit the club, which are all located on the beach. The main drink everyone orders are buckets. And that what they are. bucket fill half way with Vodka red bull and orange. I only need three and i was trash.... trash like you wouldn't believe. But i headed back to my hotel and pass out. Don't remember how i got there.....The next morning feeling like rat shit i went on a boat tour. (not a smart idea) First stop i had contact and feed animals such as the African Ostriches and deers. I went and look at them took a photo and headed back to the boat and went for a swim. Now it was time for next island visit orchid stream and orchid cave with hundreds of colorful flowers collected abroad and designed as a thousand year garden. for lunch i had Ostriches and tropical fruit and soft wine. (the wine tasted like two year old box wine) I also saw which was a really bad animal show with a elephant and bear. Now on to the next island which was i was looking forward to this one - monkey island. First we watch a another animal show but this one with monkeys, and dogs. These monkeys i like because they were on chains. Now all the other monkeys where wild ones and hated me. every time i look at one it hissed at me. One jump on me and i don't think i never jump so high. Once back on the boat i was happy to be heading back to the main island, but the sea had made a turn for the worse, i thought at one stage the boat would flip over. On the way back to the hotel i saw (the afterwards effect) of a bus hitting a boy off a scooter. he was still lying in the same position as he came off, no one try to save him. It wasn't a picture i wont be forgetting for awhile but it wasn't going to get me down. Once back at the hotel is was time for shower and out clubbing again. That when i met my holiday fling Jeff (from the UK). There was a group of four of us and we drunk way to much. We even went for a swim in the china sea -naked of course. After the swim we decided it was a good idea to get some local smoke.... I have never ever been so scared for my life. Jeff and I went on a bike and we got taken down a dark alley and about five other bike following us down. They were all yelling at each other, but we got it and it was back to the hotel for a smoke and more drinks. Next morning I woke up thinking....what the...I had missed my tour i had book, to go to more islands. So Jeff, steve and I (steve jeff mate and the other chick- Dan was leaving today) decided to head to the pool which is on the beach and has a bar. I meet a chick Mary who lives in Oz and when she was building her house had a shoe room put in. My type of house. All day we drank went for a swim. I also went parasailing the day before. love it. Once we got the bill, i never seem such a high bill before, we had spent about 2 million )there money) on three people all day. We head back to my hotel and we pass out for about three hours and started it all over again. Yesterday I had to leave, i thought at the time that a train would be great to see more of the land - it left at 12pm and arrived in HCMC about 8 that night. it was very long but once again i love this place you can drink everywhere. Once i arrived i got a bike, and went to a hotel where i pass out. I now only have a couple of days left I wont be getting home untill sunday i arrived in Brisbane at 2.35pm - so Scott please pick me up about 2.45pm. And Stanley or Ryan please one of you be home, so i can get in the unit..... I haven't bought anyone anything, i'm running out of money and time. Sorry guys. I haven't been shopping myself. I'm hoping to do so tomorrow.

It's nearly been a week and i'm still here

On Tuesday i didn't head up north i went down south.
Day one:I went by boat along Saigon and Mekong Rivers about 84 from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) I got to a look at a wide variety of the life and the scenery on Vietnam Rivers from the exciting, developing cities to the peaceful Delta. I arrived in the afternoon, by hand rowing boats. which where like two pieces of wood on the bottom and one on each side. i went along a very narrow waterway overhung with dense to the orchards islets.. where they farm tropical fruit. I also enjoy traditional music and learn how to make coconut candy and collect honey from the gardens. there are no bee suits. (they don't believe in safety first here) i went for a bicycle ride in to village. Afterwards i went on a first class boat (which is not first class in our standards) I sat on the roof top of the boat watching the sun set. The food i had eaten that day was something i thought i would never do. I had roast snake and rat spring rolls. very yummy. For dinner i had elephant fish. they fry the whole fish and serve is standing up and you pick the meat out yourself. (Stanley think iron chef). The accommodation that night was the worse place i ever stay in. (a back packer place)

Day Two: Chau Doc -long Xuyen -can Tho I went by boat again to a riverside commercial center not far from the Cambodian border, i walk up stairs for two hours (would of kill Jazzie) to the Sam mountain to visit Cave pagoda (temple). I learnt how to pray. the view was beautiful, i could see the Cambodia border. In the afternoon back on the boat again (getting sick of a boat that has no bathroom but sells beer) i went to mosque land, where children learn Arabic. I got to see into there life style and i can say its not my thing. The accommodation that night was better, i paid for a up grade.

Day Three: back on the boat i went to Can Tho - Sai Gon. i went to the floating markets. I eat alot of local fruit. Once back to dry land (four hours later) i went to a rice husking mill and a rice noodles factory. I went and had a look at the floating town. These people hardly go on land the woman and children don't only the man. After all that i we head back up the river but stop after sunset and got on a bus and went back to HCMC. The tour guild (tan) was great and could speak enough english for me to understand what was going on. The children along the river where so happy to see you, i bought coconut lollies to take home )very yummy) but i gave them to the children. Along the river they cook, bath and go to the bathroom in the same area. I don't know how they can live like this. And their house or i should say hut, your not going to believe the photo i have taken. I meet some really nice backpackers on the tour. This Scotties girl and i got along great. she from the same town ryan is Glad....something. When we got back we went out for dinner. This afternoon (Friday) we went looking around the city together and had lunch. This morning i went to a temple for morning pray. it was called the Jade emprtpt pagoda. it was built in 1909. Its is truly the gem among of all the temple i was seen. The colours and details to everything was great. plus it had the Hall of the Ten Hells. Tonight i flying to Nha Trang where you can dive the offshore reefs, cruise to outlying islands. I really looking forward to laying on the beach doing nothing. I'm also going to monkey island. Which ofcourse is a island fill with monkeys. I dont know how long i will stay there. but i'm trying now to make my way up north so i can go shopping. I still can't believe i haven't bought anything yet. (very unlike me)
I'm really missing be able to ring people and tell my stories, When i return i'm going to be like ryan (or more so) a story for everything. There just so much to see over here and do. The prices are okay, I've decided that backpacking isn't for me. I need my western toilet and hot water. I surprise i hadn't got sick yet (touch wood), and i have been eating food from the markets on the Street.
Oh one a SUPER BIG and even BIGGER happy birthday to RYAN, may you have many more to come....Ofcourse in Oz land.

I'm still here

Just a little update tomorrow I’m heading down the river (or is it up) I’m doing a tour mostly by boat for two nights. I will be heading to the floating markets and staying in the floating village. should be a bit different... I still haven't bought anything....(very unlike me)

Today I went to the zoo, I was horror in the standard these poor animals live in. I saw this little boy pee on a corrodible head. And at the monkeys centre a adult man was throwing rocks at the monkeys for it to do something. (I wish someone started throwing rocks at him)
For lunch today I decided to eat someone from a street market, yet again I have no idea what I’m eating but it was okay. It keeps raining here every afternoon, and I mean the big storms like we should be getting at home. So I make sure I have everything down by morning.
Tonight I'm going to a live play. Okay I have to run. I wont update for a couple of days, because I heading into the middle of no where. so will send update when I get back to Saigon on Thursday.
